The Metropolitan Emergency Response and Investigations Team (M.E.R.I.T.) is a county-wide task force in Illinois charged with leading investigations into serious crimes, critical incidents and other law enforcement endeavors. For 7 years, the team needed vital funding to secure two SWAT vehicles and a command center to help protect citizens and officers in emergency situations. Gerard helped M.E.R.I.T. bring its vision to life, activate its brand, tell its story, and plan, host and execute a major fundraiser within the community to successfully secure the funding — in just 4 months.
