To mark its 20-year anniversary, Gerard Design has shortened its name to “Gerard,” with a tagline that emphasizes its branding and marketing expertise as well as the comprehensive range of services that it offers. Gerard’s rebranding campaign focuses on the company’s evolution from an outstanding graphic design firm to an agency that offers a wide variety of integrated marketing services — including brand identity and collateral, interactive design and development, and environmental branding.
Gerard nominated for Aster Awards
Gerard has been selected to receive Gold Aster Awards for the firm’s work with Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare (EMHC). The Aster Awards Program is an elite competition recognizing the nation’s most talented healthcare marketing professionals for outstanding excellence in advertising. Nomination categories include Brochure Advertising for Elmhurst Memorial Hematology Oncology Associates, Newsletter/Internal for EMHC’s proprietary Inside Story publication, and Publication/External for the Fall 2012 issue of Health Connections.
As seen in Forbes, Gerard has created a profile that documents the company’s “do more with less” business philosophy, perspectives on client success and focus on the human side of excellence.

Gerard wins Communicator Awards
Gerard has won three Communicator Awards in the 19th annual competition. Awards include print collateral for IC Bus, Talk-A-Phone and Elmhurst Memorial Hospital. In addition, Gerard’s work for Revel Decor, Navman Wireless, Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare and OfficeMax has been selected for Awards of Distinction.
February 2013 Gerard wins AVA Awards
Gerard’s work for Navman Wireless has been selected for the 2013 AVA Digital Awards. Awards include platinum for AVA’s “Business to Business” and “Web Interactive Capabilities” categories, Gold for AVA’s “Site” and “Other” categories, and an honorable mention for AVA’s “App” category. AVA Awards is an international competition that recognizes outstanding work by creative professionals involved in the concept, direction, design and production of media that is part of the evolution of digital communication.
Gerard gets DBE certification
Gerard has been certified as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE). In addition, Gerard is also certified as a Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE Certification) and as a small business through the Small Business Administration (SBA Certification). Gerard’s DBE and WBE certifications allow us to help clients achieve supply chain diversity excellence goals, and provide an advantage to companies seeking government contracts and work to enhance their supplier diversity programs.
Gerard earns top MarCom Awards
Gerard has earned three top awards from MarCom Awards in the 2012 international competition. The design firm received the awards for various marketing materials and for a website they created for Navman Wireless. Top awards include a Platinum Award in the strategic communications category for a three-piece promotional campaign, a Gold Award for a postcard submitted in the print creativity design category and a Gold Award for a business-to-business website created in Web-based media.
Gerard shares the history, vision and focus on strategic branding and integrated marketing behind the company’s 2011 selection to help promote the Cadillac brand of cars to CEOs, presidents of companies and business leaders. Gerard cites the ecosystem in Naperville as one that attracts business and provides the agency with the opportunity for continued work and connections throughout the community.
2009 Gerard event drew style cues from Belle Époque-inspired decor to honor, thank and celebrate clients, partners and team members alike. The agency partnered with Revel Global Events to create a festive Parisian nightclub setting that would show appreciation and gratitude to those who contributed to the company’s achievements in a unique and memorable way.
Gerard was recognized of the The Business Ledger’s 2009 statewide survey and awards program that identifies, recognizes and honors the best places of employment in Illinois, which benefit the state’s economy, its workforce and businesses. Gerard was then recognized and honored at the “Best Places to Work in Illinois” awards ceremony coordinated by The Business Ledger, and was profiled in a special publication by The Business Ledger on June 29, 2009.
