Navman Wireless is a global leader in the GPS fleet tracking and management solutions industry. The company’s fleet tracking, two-way messaging and integrated satellite navigation systems are improving the margins of 14,000+ customers across four continents.
Gerard was asked to redesign the Navman Wireless home page. When the subject of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) came up, Navman Wireless mentioned that they had virtually no presence in Google for any terms related to their business — including their most important keywords, “fleet tracking.”
Gerard first optimized the content of Navman Wireless’ home page and one inner page. The site soon broke into the top three pages of Google for “fleet tracking” at #29, and had reached pages one and two for several secondary keywords.
Gerard then optimized the rest of the Navman Wireless website through keyword research, Web-page edits, image optimization, video SEO, inbound link building, internal links, directory submissions, fresh content and blog optimization. Tools included Advanced Web Ranking, Google AdWords, Google Analytics and SpyFu.
The result? Within four months, the site ranked in the top three pages of Google for 85% of the chosen keywords. For 45% of the keywords, the site ranked on page one. Within eight months, the site reached page one for “fleet tracking,” a position it held for two years.
