Founded in 1926, Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare (EMHC) has expanded its services to become a comprehensive health system. With numerous locations throughout Chicago's western suburbs, EMHC is committed to serving patients, their families and entire communities.

The Opportunity

With increasing competitive pressures from outside organizations, EMHC needed to build an all-new facility to stay relevant and change people’s perceptions through fresh marketing that featured new locations, technology, staff and capabilities.

The Solution

Gerard created a complete suite of integrated media that detailed EMHC’s service offerings while establishing a unified voice and design approach that solidified their brand overall.

By developing an extensive strategy with EMHC, Gerard was able to bring the organization’s philosophy of care and leading-edge technology enhancements to the forefront through an integrated family of new service brochures, newsletters, email campaigns, a completely revamped website and more.

In addition, Gerard developed an internal branding campaign that boosted morale, generated excitement and branded the future of the new campus for hospital staff and construction workers alike.

The result? EMHC’s new campus was recently named one of the top five Most Beautiful Hospitals in America by Soliant® Health. The transfer of operations and patients from the existing hospital to the new facility was completed without a hitch. Patient satisfaction scores are high, and there’s a new attitude among EMHC staff.
